Offering a true alternative to the Alps, this charming little town will impress any skier who appreciates well groomed slopes, up to date technology, and the latest in ski/board equipment in breathtakingly beautiful surroundings.

In less than 20 minutes the fast Gondola cable lift will take you to the ski center, situated about 12 km above the town. It is up to you to decide whether to return by the Gondola or join the unique 16 km ski run leading back to town, which marks Bansko as one of the few resorts to offer this.

The ski center has over 56 kilometres of marked ski runs and cross country trails that have been extensively cultivated. About 80% of the slopes are covered by snow cannons and all runs are groomed by 12 Kassbohrer slope maintenance vehicles to guarantee maximum pleasure from the great selection of nursery, intermediate, and advanced pistes.

The ski runs are serviced by a number of ultra modern Doppelmayr chair and drag lifts. The 8-man Gondola and the four-chair lift with bubble shields are specially designed to protect you from harsh weather conditions.

Après Ski

Après-ski revolves around the one hundred local tavernas (mehanas) which offer excellent local cuisine as well as traditional live music and dance.
